Gentle, Trauma-Informed Therapy Rooted in Compassion and Safety

Specialized therapy focused on restoring safety & stability, processing past experiences and fears, and promoting long-lasting healing.

Elizabeth Einig, LCSW

Hi! I’m Elizabeth, a trauma-focused therapist supporting kids, teens, and adults who are healing from anxiety, depression, trauma, and the long-term effects of overwhelming experiences. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, gentle, and grounded in the belief that healing happens within a safe, trusting relationship.

In our work together, I hope to create a space where you can reconnect with yourself, deepen your sense of safety, and grow at your own pace, like a songbird rediscovering its voice and learning how to fly again.

My offices in both Oak Park, IL & Oak Brook, IL offer calm, supportive environments to help you on your healing journey.

A therapy experience built for safety, clarity, and growth.

During our sessions, you can expect:

  • A nonjudgmental, warm, compassionate space - one of the most important things to me in our work together is a strong therapeutic relationship.

  • A collaborative approach to goal setting and treatment planning. I’ll prioritize your needs and pacing to help you feel relief from stress, burnout, depression, and more.

  • Evidence-based strategies to cope, relax, and move through emotions (I like the approach of “feeling AND dealing” - being able to feel your feelings and deal with them in healthy ways)

  • Space to explore patterns, emotions, and inner conflict, as well as explore ways your environment & relationships are impacting your mental health

  • Gentle guidance and actionable steps- I like to give tasks for you to try on your own throughout the week

Whether you’re seeking short-term support, mental health maintenance, or long-term therapy, I’ll make sure your care aligns with your pace and needs as you work towards personal growth.

Therapy Offices in Oak Park & Oak Brook, IL

1100 Lake St, Ste 255A, Oak Park, IL 60301

Thursdays and Fridays

The street level entrance is on Lake St under one of the green awnings labeled “1100 Lake St.” If you are walking from the Potbelly, walk a little bit farther west on Lake St to find the doors; the doors are framed in green. Walk through the building and head up the escalator, where you'll find my office (Ste 255) right across from the escalator.

Parking: I recommend parking in the Holley Court parking garage (1125 Ontario St); the first hour is free, parking for 1-2 hours costs $2.00. It would be most convenient to drive up to the 3rd floor of the garage and park close to the sign labeled “Level 3 EAST Elevator" but you can also park near any "East" door and take the stairs/elevator to the 3rd floor. Once you get to the 3rd floor east elevator, there will be a pedestrian walkway that connects directly to the building. I am down the hall in Suite 255, which will be on your right.

Please note: there are locked, private bathrooms in the hall. They can be unlocked using keys in my office’s lobby.

1550 Spring Rd, Ste 106, Oak Brook, IL 60523

Wednesdays and Saturdays

The parking lot is in the back of the building and has plenty of free parking. The entrance of the building is connected to the parking lot. When you enter, walk straight through the hallway ahead, then make a left and look for the office labeled 106, which will be on your right.

There are public, accessible bathrooms around the hallway from my office.

Telehealth

For clients who would like to meet virtually, I reserve Tuesdays for telehealth sessions. I can only meet with Illinois residents for virtual sessions.
